I did it!  I finally did something out of this shirt that Kris gave me to "give away" a while ago.   That was so easy and my sewing machine cooperated until the very last stitch... on which the needle broke!  Since the pictures were taken, I added a few details on the "tic-tac-toe" pocket.
I plan on making many more and trying out some for myself  as tops.
Don't let Carla's face fool you, she LOVES it and even sleeps in it! My first 2 sewing project have been very encouraging.  They both have been easy enough and mostly short to create.  I definitely feel ADD when it comes to sewing sometimes! But those little, simple projects have kept me exited and focus about my sewing for once in my life.

I will post more pictures of the dress in the next post.  Oh yeah , I forgot to mention that I forgot to take measurements for Carla's chest and so it turned out a tad baggy... but I don't think it matters too much.  Those little projects do teach me something every-time.

I started to sew!!!

Well, that is a first for me!  I have sewn before of course but never really on my own and the passion was not there.  I started to go to my friend Julie's sewing class that she has been offering from her house and made my first bag.  I still have to top stitch it but here is a pic for now:
It is a Hobo Lunch bag made bigger to hold my knitting projects. You can find this easy tutorial here.
I already have another sewing project brewing and will post my progress about it.  It is inspired by this tutorial and it is very exiting for me as I can see myself getting into recycling sewing! I do hope I can pull this one off by myself.

Until next time (with proof of progress I hope)
